Từ ngày 19/02 đến ngày 23/02/2023, tại Trung tâm Quốc tế Khoa học và Giáo dục Liên ngành (International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education – ICISE), Ủy ban nhân dân tỉnh Bình Định, Bộ Khoa học và Công nghệ, Hội Hóa học Tính toán châu Á và Hội Gặp gỡ Việt Nam phối hợp tổ chức Hội nghị Hóa Lý thuyết và Tính toán Châu Á – Thái Bình Dương lần thứ 10. Trong đó, Trường Đại học Phan Thiết đã cử đại biểu tham dự và tài trợ Hội nghị.

Hội nghị có sự tham dự của hơn 350 người là các giáo sư, nhà khoa học, giảng viên, sinh viên đến từ Việt Nam và 24 quốc gia, vùng lãnh thổ khác trên thế giới.

Hội nghị là diễn đàn để các nhà khoa học trong nước và quốc tế trình bày các nghiên cứu, công trình khoa học, thảo luận các nội dung tập trung vào kỹ thuật tính toán, khoa học phân tử và mô phỏng trong y sinh. Hội nghị gồm có các chuyên đề chính: Lịch sử Hóa Lượng tử Tính toán-Lý thuyết về các Mô hình-Sự phát triển của phương pháp tính; Hóa Lượng tử Tính toán cho pha khí, lỏng và rắn; “Trí tuệ nhân tạo” (Artificial Intelligence – AI) và “Máy học” (Machine Learning) trong hóa lượng tử tính toán và mô phỏng y sinh; Khoa học vật liệu-Vật liệu xúc tác; Mô phỏng động học phân tử; Các quá trình của phân tử trong khoa học sự sống; Năng lượng tái tạo; Các sản phẩm tự nhiên; Vật liệu đầu dò (vô cơ, hữu cơ và sinh học) và Dược phẩm.
Tham dự và báo cáo tại Hội nghị, đại diện Trường Đại học Phan Thiết có TS. Nguyễn Minh Tâm – Phó Trưởng Khoa phụ trách Khoa Cơ bản là thành viên Ban Tổ chức Hội nghị và ThS. Võ Đức Tư Duy – chuyên viên Phòng Quản lý Khoa học và Hợp tác Quốc tế.

Hội nghị đã tạo cơ hội cho các nhà khoa học Quốc tế và Việt Nam duy trì các mạng lưới hợp tác đa ngành hiện có cũng như khởi xướng các mạng lưới mới. Hội nghị cũng giúp cho các nhà khoa học trẻ Việt Nam tìm kiếm cơ hội, học hỏi kinh nghiệm, nâng cao năng lực chuyên môn.
Hội nghị kế tiếp dự kiến sẽ diễn ra tại Kobe (Nhật Bản) vào năm 2024.

From February 19 to February 23, 2023, at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province, Ministry of Science and Technology Technology, Asian Computational Chemistry Association and Vietnam Meeting Association jointly organized the 10th Asia-Pacific Theoretical and Computational Chemistry Conference. In which, Phan Thiet University sent delegates to attend. Attend and sponsor the Conference.

The conference was attended by more than 350 people who are professors, scientists, lecturers, and students from Vietnam and 24 other countries and territories around the world.

The conference is a forum for domestic and international scientists to present research and scientific works, and discuss content focusing on computational techniques, molecular science and simulation in biomedicine. The conference includes main topics: History of Computational Quantum Chemistry – Theory of Models – Development of computational methods; Quantum Chemistry Calculations for gas, liquid and solid phases; “Artificial Intelligence” (AI) and “Machine Learning” in computational quantum chemistry and biomedical simulation; Materials science – Catalytic materials; Molecular dynamics simulation; Molecular processes in life sciences; Recycled energy; Natural products; Probe materials (inorganic, organic and biological) and Pharmaceuticals.
Attending and reporting at the Conference, representatives of Phan Thiet University were Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam – Deputy Dean in charge of the Faculty of Fundamentals is a member of the Conference Organizing Committee and MSc. Vo Duc Tu Duy – specialist of the Department of Scientific Management and International Cooperation.

The conference created opportunities for international and Vietnamese scientists to maintain existing multidisciplinary cooperation networks as well as initiate new networks. The conference also helps young Vietnamese scientists find opportunities, learn from experience, and improve their professional capacity.
The next conference is expected to take place in Kobe (Japan) in 2024.
