Chào mừng kỷ niệm 51 năm Ngày Giải phóng miền Nam, thống nhất đất nước (30/4/1975 – 30/4/2026) và kỷ niệm 140 năm Ngày Quốc tế Lao động (01/5/1886 – 01/5/2026), trong hai ngày 24 và 25/4/2026, Trường Đại học Phan Thiết đã tổ chức thành công Giải thi đấu Bóng rổ nam 3×3 mở rộng lần V, năm học 2025–2026.
Giải đấu năm nay quy tụ 12 đội bóng đến từ các đơn vị Phòng, Khoa của Nhà trường cùng nhiều trường THPT trên địa bàn tỉnh như: Trường THPT Chuyên Trần Hưng Đạo, THPT Phan Bội Châu- Phan Thiết, THPT Phan Chu Trinh – Phan Thiết, THPT Phan Thiết, THCS&THPT Lê Lợi. Sự đa dạng về lực lượng tham gia đã góp phần tạo nên một sân chơi thể thao sôi động, hấp dẫn và giàu tính cạnh tranh.
Lễ khai mạc diễn ra trong không khí trang trọng với sự hiện diện của đại diện lãnh đạo, cán bộ, giảng viên, nhân viên, sinh viên Trường Đại học Phan Thiết cùng đông đảo vận động viên và cổ động viên. Tại buổi lễ, đại diện Tổ trọng tài và các vận động viên đã thực hiện nghi thức tuyên thệ, thể hiện quyết tâm làm việc và thi đấu công tâm, trung thực, tuân thủ nghiêm túc các quy định của giải, đề cao tinh thần thể thao cao thượng và lan tỏa giá trị fair-play trong từng trận đấu.

Ngay sau khi kết thúc phần lễ khai mạc, các đội bóng nhanh chóng bước vào thi đấu chính thức trong không khí sôi nổi và đầy hào hứng. Giải đấu quy tụ 12 đội được chia thành 3 bảng, thi đấu theo thể thức loại trực tiếp, đòi hỏi các đội phải thể hiện sự tập trung cao độ và chiến thuật hợp lý ngay từ những trận đầu tiên. Trong suốt hai ngày diễn ra giải, 25 trận đấu kịch tính, hấp dẫn đã mang đến cho khán giả những pha bóng đẹp mắt, những màn rượt đuổi tỷ số nghẹt thở và tinh thần thi đấu đầy nhiệt huyết của các vận động viên.

Kết thúc giải đấu, Ban Tổ chức đã tìm ra những tập thể và cá nhân xuất sắc nhất. Chức vô địch thuộc về CLB UPT; giải Nhì được trao cho CLB Nhà thi đấu; giải Ba thuộc về Khoa Công nghệ Thông tin. Danh hiệu Cầu thủ xuất sắc nhất (MVP) được trao cho vận động viên Hồ Quốc Trưởng.

Giải thi đấu không chỉ là hoạt động thiết thực chào mừng các ngày lễ lớn của đất nước mà còn góp phần thúc đẩy phong trào rèn luyện thể chất, nâng cao đời sống tinh thần cho học sinh, sinh viên. Đồng thời, sự kiện đã tạo điều kiện tăng cường mối quan hệ kết nghĩa, hợp tác, gắn bó giữa Trường Đại học Phan Thiết với các trường THPT trên địa bàn tỉnh, góp phần xây dựng môi trường giáo dục năng động, kết nối và phát triển bền vững.

To celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026) and the 140th anniversary of International Workers’ Day (May 1, 1886 – May 1, 2026), on April 24 and 25, 2026, the University of Phan Thiet successfully organized the 5th Expanded Men’s 3×3 Basketball Tournament for the 2025–2026 academic year.
This year’s tournament brought together 12 teams from the University’s departments and faculties, along with several high schools in the province, including: Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted, Phan Boi Chau High School – Phan Thiet, Phan Chu Trinh High School – Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet High School, and Le Loi Secondary & High School. The diversity of participating teams contributed to creating a vibrant, exciting, and highly competitive sporting event.
The opening ceremony took place in a formal and spirited atmosphere, attended by representatives of the University’s leadership, staff, lecturers, employees, and students, along with a large number of athletes and supporters. At the ceremony, representatives of the refereeing panel and the athletes solemnly took the oath, affirming their commitment to officiate and compete with fairness, integrity, strict adherence to the tournament regulations, and to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship while promoting fair-play values in every game.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the teams entered official competition in an energetic and enthusiastic atmosphere. The 12 teams were divided into three groups and competed under a knockout format, requiring strong focus and effective strategies right from the opening matches. Over the two days of competition, a total of 25 thrilling and intense games delivered spectacular plays, dramatic score chases, and showcased the players’ passion and determination.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the Organizing Committee identified the most outstanding teams and individuals. The championship title was awarded to UPT Club; the runner-up position went to Gymnasium Club; and third place was secured by the Faculty of Information Technology. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award was presented to athlete Ho Quoc Truong.

The tournament was not only a meaningful activity celebrating major national holidays but also contributed to promoting physical training and enhancing the spiritual well-being of students. Moreover, the event helped strengthen partnerships, cooperation, and connections between the University of Phan Thiet and high schools across the province, contributing to the development of a dynamic, well-connected, and sustainable educational environment.
