Sáng ngày 04/02/2026, Lễ khai mạc Hội thao Trí tuệ lần 3 – Năm học 2025-2026 đã diễn ra tại trường Đại học Phan Thiết. Chương trình do Khoa Kỹ thuật Công nghệ đăng cai tổ chức, nhằm tạo sân chơi lành mạnh, bổ ích cho tập thể cán bộ, giảng viên, nhân viên và các em sinh viên trong toàn trường.
Tham dự Lễ khai mạc có sự hiện diện của ThS. Lâm Ngọc Điệp – Chủ tịch Công đoàn trường; ThS. Nguyễn Như Trường – Trưởng Phòng Công tác Chính trị sinh viên & Hợp tác Doanh nghiệp (CTCTSV&HTDN); ThS. Lê Ngọc Duy – Ủy viên Ban Chấp hành Tỉnh Đoàn Lâm Đồng – Bí thư Đoàn trường – Phó Trưởng Phòng CTCTSV&HTDN; đại diện lãnh đạo, cán bộ, giảng viên và các em sinh viên đến từ các Khoa, Phòng chuyên môn trong Nhà trường.

Phát biểu khai mạc Hội thao Trí tuệ, ThS. Lê Ngọc Duy – Ủy viên Ban Chấp hành Tỉnh Đoàn Lâm Đồng – Bí thư Đoàn trường – Phó Trưởng Phòng CTCTSV&HTDN bày tỏ niềm phấn khởi trước sự quan tâm, hưởng ứng và tham gia tích cực của đông đảo cán bộ, giảng viên và sinh viên toàn Trường. Với ba nội dung thi đấu gồm Cờ vua, Cờ tướng và Cờ caro, Bí Thư Đoàn trường kỳ vọng các vận động viên sẽ mang đến những ván đấu hấp dẫn, giàu tính chiến thuật; qua đó tạo nên sân chơi bổ ích nhằm rèn luyện tư duy logic, khả năng tập trung và bản lĩnh trí tuệ cho tập thể Nhà trường. Hội thao không chỉ mang đến những giây phút thư giãn ý nghĩa sau những giờ học tập, làm việc căng thẳng, mà còn góp phần tăng cường sự gắn kết, giao lưu và thắt chặt tình cảm giữa các cá nhân trong toàn Trường.

Đại diện Ban tổ chức, ThS. Nguyễn Hữu Tiến – Phó Bí thư Đoàn trường đã tiến hành công bố điều lệ và tinh thần thi đấu của giải đấu. Phó Bí thư Đoàn trường hy vọng Phó Bí thư Đoàn trường hy vọng các vận động viên sẽ nghiêm túc chấp hành điều lệ giải đấu, thi đấu với tinh thần trung thực, đoàn kết, cao thượng; phát huy tối đa khả năng tư duy, bản lĩnh và sự sáng tạo trong từng ván đấu.

Ngay sau phần phát biểu khai mạc, tất cả thí sinh đã chính thức bước vào vòng loại trực tiếp của ba nội dung thi đấu Cờ vua, Cờ tướng và Cờ caro. Các ván cờ diễn ra trong không khí tập trung, kịch tính, thể hiện rõ tư duy chiến thuật, sự bản lĩnh và khả năng xử lý tình huống linh hoạt của từng vận động viên. Hoạt động thi đấu đã thu hút sự theo dõi, cổ vũ và trao đổi sôi nổi từ đông đảo cán bộ, giảng viên, nhân viên và sinh viên tham dự chương trình, góp phần tạo nên bầu không khí hào hứng, gắn kết trong toàn Trường.

Thông qua Hội thao Trí tuệ UPT, Ban Tổ chức mong rằng đây sẽ tiếp tục là sân chơi trí tuệ lành mạnh, thiết thực, tạo cơ hội để sinh viên Trường Đại học Phan Thiết được giao lưu, học hỏi và cọ xát trong môi trường học thuật tích cực; qua đó từng bước nâng cao tư duy logic, bản lĩnh thi đấu, sự tự tin và tinh thần chủ động trong học tập cũng như trong cuộc sống.

On the morning of February 4, 2026, the Opening Ceremony of the 3rd Intellectual Sports Festival for the academic year 2025–2026 was held at the University of Phan Thiet. The event was hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, aiming to create a healthy and beneficial playground for faculty members, staff, and students across the University.
The Opening Ceremony was attended by Mr. Lam Ngoc Diep, M.A. – Chairman of the University Trade Union; Mr. Nguyen Nhu Truong, M.A. – Head of the Office of Student Political Affairs and Enterprise Cooperation; Mr. Le Ngoc Duy, M.A. – Member of the Executive Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Youth Union, Secretary of the University Youth Union, and Deputy Head of the Office of Student Political Affairs and Enterprise Cooperation; along with representatives of University leadership, faculty members, staff, and students from various faculties and departments.
Overview of the event
In his opening remarks, Mr. Le Ngoc Duy, M.A. expressed his delight at the strong interest, enthusiastic response, and active participation of faculty members and students throughout the University. Featuring three competition categories—Chess, Chinese Chess, and Caro (Gomoku)—the Secretary of the University Youth Union emphasized his expectation that the athletes would deliver exciting and highly strategic matches. Through this intellectual sports festival, participants are encouraged to enhance logical thinking, concentration, and intellectual resilience. Beyond providing meaningful relaxation after hours of study and work, the event also aims to strengthen solidarity, promote interaction, and foster closer connections among members of the University community.

Representing the Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tien, M.A. – Deputy Secretary of the University Youth Union, announced the competition regulations and sportsmanship principles of the tournament. He expressed his hope that all athletes would strictly comply with the competition rules, compete with honesty, solidarity, and fair play, and fully demonstrate their intellectual capacity, confidence, and creativity in each match.

Immediately following the opening ceremony, all contestants officially entered the knockout rounds of the three competition categories: Chess, Chinese Chess, and Caro. The matches took place in a highly focused and intense atmosphere, clearly showcasing the athletes’ strategic thinking, composure, and flexible problem-solving skills. The competitions attracted enthusiastic attention, encouragement, and lively discussion from faculty members, staff, and students, contributing to an energetic and closely connected campus atmosphere.

Through the UPT Intellectual Sports Festival, the Organizing Committee hopes to continue developing a practical and intellectually enriching platform that enables students of the University of Phan Thiet to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and engage in a positive academic environment. The event thereby contributes to the gradual enhancement of logical thinking, competitive confidence, self-assurance, and proactive attitudes in both academic pursuits and everyday life.
