Phát biểu tại chương trình, PGS.TS.NGƯT. Võ Khắc Thường – Chủ tịch Hội đồng trường, Hiệu trưởng Trường Đại học Phan Thiết đã điểm lại những kết quả nổi bật trong các mặt hoạt động của Nhà trường trong năm học 2025–2026, trong đó tập trung vào công tác tổ chức, xây dựng Đảng và Đoàn thể; tuyển sinh, đào tạo; bảo đảm chất lượng; nghiên cứu khoa học; hợp tác quốc tế và hợp tác doanh nghiệp.
Bước vào năm học 2026–2027, Nhà trường tiếp tục kiện toàn tổ chức, phát triển đội ngũ và nâng cao năng lực quản trị; đổi mới tuyển sinh, chương trình và phương pháp đào tạo theo hướng thực tiễn, gắn với nhu cầu xã hội và thị trường lao động. Đồng thời, Nhà trường chú trọng bảo đảm, kiểm định chất lượng; đẩy mạnh nghiên cứu khoa học, đổi mới sáng tạo, khởi nghiệp, hợp tác quốc tế và liên kết doanh nghiệp; thúc đẩy chuyển đổi số, ứng dụng trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) hiệu quả, an toàn và có trách nhiệm.
Công tác sinh viên tiếp tục được quan tâm toàn diện, cùng với việc từng bước hoàn thiện cơ sở vật chất, triển khai kế hoạch xây dựng tòa nhà 10 tầng và các cổng trường mới. Với những định hướng đó, Trường Đại học Phan Thiết hướng đến xây dựng môi trường giáo dục nhân văn, kỷ cương, năng động và sáng tạo, nơi mỗi người học được tôn trọng, đồng hành và có cơ hội phát huy tốt nhất tiềm năng của mình.
Nhân dịp này, PGS.TS.NGƯT. Võ Khắc Thường cũng bày tỏ lời tri ân sâu sắc đến Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo, lãnh đạo địa phương, các cơ quan, doanh nghiệp, trường đại học, trường THPT, cơ quan thông tấn, báo chí và các đơn vị đối tác đã luôn đồng hành, hỗ trợ và tạo điều kiện cho Nhà trường trong quá trình thực hiện nhiệm vụ giáo dục và đào tạo. Đồng thời, Hiệu trưởng kêu gọi toàn thể cán bộ, giảng viên, nhân viên và sinh viên UPT tiếp tục phát huy tinh thần đoàn kết, nhiệt huyết và trách nhiệm, cùng nỗ lực thực hiện thắng lợi các nhiệm vụ năm học 2026–2027, góp phần nâng cao chất lượng, uy tín và vị thế của Trường Đại học Phan Thiết.

Phát biểu tại chương trình, đồng chí Nguyễn Minh – Phó Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Lâm Đồng chúc mừng và ghi nhận những kết quả nổi bật Trường Đại học Phan Thiết đã đạt được trong năm học 2025–2026.
Năm học mới 2026–2027, đồng chí Phó Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh đề nghị Nhà trường tiếp tục phát huy những thành tựu đã đạt được; chủ động nghiên cứu, cụ thể hóa các quan điểm, mục tiêu, nhiệm vụ và giải pháp tại Nghị quyết số 71-NQ/TW của Bộ Chính trị về đột phá phát triển giáo dục và đào tạo và Nghị quyết số 57-NQ/TW về đột phá phát triển khoa học, công nghệ, đổi mới sáng tạo và chuyển đổi số quốc gia, triển khai đồng bộ với chương trình năm học 2026–2027 và những năm tiếp theo.
Trước những thay đổi liên tục về chính sách, đồng chí Nguyễn Minh đề nghị Nhà trường thường xuyên rà soát chiến lược và các nội dung phát triển, kịp thời đề xuất, kiến nghị để được xem xét, tháo gỡ những khó khăn, vướng mắc và có hướng điều chỉnh phù hợp. UBND tỉnh khẳng định sẽ tiếp tục đồng hành cùng Nhà trường; đồng thời đề nghị các sở, ngành và địa phương quan tâm, phối hợp giải quyết các kiến nghị, tạo điều kiện để Trường Đại học Phan Thiết tiếp tục phát triển ổn định và vững mạnh.
Bên cạnh đó, đồng chí Phó Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh đề nghị Nhà trường tiếp tục xây dựng và phát triển đội ngũ nhà giáo, cán bộ quản lý bảo đảm đủ về số lượng, nâng cao về chất lượng, đặc biệt chú trọng năng lực ứng dụng công nghệ số; nâng cao chất lượng, hiệu quả nghiên cứu khoa học và hợp tác quốc tế, tăng cường kết nối và hội nhập, qua đó tạo động lực nâng cao chất lượng đào tạo và nghiên cứu khoa học. Đồng thời, Nhà trường cần tiếp tục phát triển cơ sở hạ tầng, hiện đại hóa trang thiết bị, đáp ứng tốt hơn yêu cầu dạy và học trong giai đoạn mới.

Đặc biệt, trong không khí phấn khởi của buổi lễ, Trường Đại học Phan Thiết đã trao tặng 592 suất học bổng trị giá hơn 4,7 tỷ đồng. Trong đó, bao gồm 171 suất Học bổng Tinh hoa dành cho tân sinh viên đạt học lực loại Giỏi ở lớp 12, 302 suất Học bổng Tài năng dành cho tân sinh viên đạt học lực loại Khá ở lớp 12, 97 suất Học bổng Đồng hành dành cho tân sinh viên đăng ký nhập học sớm vào trường và 22 suất Học bổng Ươm mầm cho tân sinh viên có hoàn cảnh đặc biệt khó khăn. Đây là một trong những chính sách dành cho người học vô cùng nhân văn và ý nghĩa mà Nhà trường duy trì thực hiện trong nhiều năm qua.

An overview of the ceremony
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meritorious Teacher Vo Khac Thuong – Chairman of the University Council and President of the University of Phan Thiet reviewed the University’s outstanding achievements across various areas during the 2025–2026 academic year, with a focus on organizational affairs, Party and mass organization building; admissions and training; quality assurance; scientific research; international cooperation; and university–industry collaboration.
Entering the 2026–2027 academic year, the University will continue to strengthen its organizational structure, develop its human resources, and enhance institutional governance capacity; innovate admissions, curricula, and teaching methods toward a more practical approach aligned with societal needs and the labor market. At the same time, the University will place a strong emphasis on quality assurance and accreditation; promote scientific research, innovation, entrepreneurship, international cooperation, and industry partnerships; and advance digital transformation and the effective, safe, and responsible application of artificial intelligence (AI).
Student affairs will continue to receive comprehensive attention, alongside the gradual improvement of facilities and the implementation of plans to construct a 10-story building and new campus gates. With these orientations, the University of Phan Thiet aims to build a humane, disciplined, dynamic, and creative educational environment where every learner is respected, supported, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meritorious Teacher Vo Khac Thuong also expressed his profound gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Training, local authorities, agencies, businesses, universities, high schools, press and media agencies, and partner organizations for their continued companionship, support, and facilitation of the University’s educational and training mission. Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Minh – Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee congratulated and acknowledged the outstanding achievements attained by the University of Phan Thiet during the 2025–2026 academic year.
For the new 2026–2027 academic year, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee called on the University to continue building on its achievements; proactively study and concretize the viewpoints, objectives, tasks, and solutions set out in Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, and implement them in an integrated manner as part of the academic programs for the 2026–2027 academic year and subsequent years.
In light of ongoing policy changes, Comrade Nguyen Minh requested that the University regularly review its development strategy and related development priorities, and promptly make proposals and recommendations for consideration, addressing difficulties and obstacles in a timely manner and making appropriate adjustments. The Provincial People’s Committee affirmed its continued support for the University and called upon provincial departments, agencies, and local authorities to pay attention to and coordinate in resolving the University’s recommendations, thereby creating favorable conditions for the University of Phan Thiet to continue developing in a stable and sustainable manner.
In addition, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee called on the University to continue developing its teaching staff and management personnel, ensuring sufficient staffing while enhancing quality, with particular attention to strengthening digital technology competencies. He also emphasized the need to improve the quality and effectiveness of scientific research and international cooperation, strengthen connectivity and integration, and thereby create momentum for enhancing the quality of education and scientific research. At the same time, the University should continue developing its infrastructure and modernizing equipment to better meet the requirements of teaching and learning in the new period.
On the occasion of the new academic year, Comrade Nguyen Minh extended his congratulations and encouragement to the new students of Cohort 18. The Vice Chairman expressed his hope that each student would continuously strive to improve themselves, work toward becoming highly qualified human resources, responsible and exemplary citizens, and make positive contributions to the development of Lam Dong Province in the future.

In particular, amid the joyful atmosphere of the ceremony, the University of Phan Thiet awarded 592 scholarships with a total value of more than VND 4.7 billion. These included 171 Excellence Scholarships for new students who achieved a Good academic performance rating in Grade 12; 302 Talent Scholarships for new students who achieved a Fair academic performance rating in Grade 12; 97 Accompanying Scholarships for new students who completed their enrollment early; and 22 Seedling Scholarships for new students facing particularly difficult circumstances. This is one of the University’s highly meaningful and humane student support policies, which has been maintained and implemented for many years.

The 2025–2026 Academic Year Review Ceremony and Welcoming Ceremony for New Students of Cohort 18 took place in a joyful, enthusiastic, and emotional atmosphere shared by the faculty members, lecturers, staff, employees, and students of the University of Phan Thiet.
