Tối 26/7, Đoàn Thanh niên – Hội Sinh viên Trường Đại học Phan Thiết đã tham gia Lễ thắp nến tri ân các Anh hùng liệt sĩ tại Nghĩa trang Liệt sĩ Bình Thuận, xã Hồng Sơn. Hoạt động được tổ chức nhân kỷ niệm 79 năm Ngày Thương binh – Liệt sĩ (27/7/1947 – 27/7/2026), góp phần giáo dục truyền thống yêu nước, đạo lý “Uống nước nhớ nguồn” và bồi đắp lý tưởng cách mạng cho đoàn viên, thanh niên.
Lễ thắp nến tri ân là hoạt động thường niên mang ý nghĩa chính trị, xã hội và nhân văn sâu sắc, nhằm tưởng nhớ, bày tỏ lòng biết ơn đối với các Anh hùng liệt sĩ đã anh dũng chiến đấu, hy sinh vì sự nghiệp đấu tranh giải phóng dân tộc, bảo vệ độc lập, chủ quyền và toàn vẹn lãnh thổ của Tổ quốc. Đồng thời, đây cũng là dịp để thế hệ trẻ ôn lại truyền thống cách mạng vẻ vang của dân tộc, nâng cao nhận thức về trách nhiệm trong sự nghiệp xây dựng và bảo vệ đất nước.
Trong không khí trang nghiêm của buổi lễ, các đại biểu cùng đông đảo đoàn viên, thanh niên đã thành kính dâng hương, dành phút mặc niệm tưởng nhớ công lao to lớn của các Anh hùng liệt sĩ. Hàng nghìn ngọn nến được thắp sáng trên từng phần mộ đã tạo nên không gian tri ân thiêng liêng, thể hiện truyền thống “Đền ơn đáp nghĩa” và lòng biết ơn sâu sắc của các thế hệ hôm nay đối với những người đã hy sinh vì độc lập, tự do của dân tộc.
Đoàn viên, sinh viên Trường Đại học Phan Thiết đã trực tiếp dâng hương, thắp nến tại các phần mộ liệt sĩ với lòng thành kính và sự tri ân sâu sắc. Hoạt động không chỉ là dịp để mỗi đoàn viên bày tỏ tình cảm, sự biết ơn đối với các thế hệ đi trước mà còn góp phần nâng cao ý thức trách nhiệm, khơi dậy tinh thần cống hiến và phát huy vai trò của tuổi trẻ trong sự nghiệp xây dựng, phát triển quê hương, đất nước.

Thông qua hoạt động ý nghĩa này, Đoàn Thanh niên – Hội Sinh viên Trường Đại học Phan Thiết tiếp tục khẳng định vai trò trong công tác giáo dục truyền thống, lý tưởng cách mạng và lòng yêu nước cho đoàn viên, sinh viên. Đây cũng là một trong những hoạt động thiết thực góp phần lan tỏa các giá trị nhân văn, hun đúc tinh thần trách nhiệm, ý chí phấn đấu và khát vọng cống hiến của tuổi trẻ Trường Đại học Phan Thiết đối với cộng đồng và xã hội.

On the evening of July 26, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Phan Thiet attended a Candle-Lighting Ceremony in Tribute to Fallen Heroes at the Binh Thuan Martyrs’ Cemetery in Hong Son Commune. The event was held in commemoration of the 79th War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2026), contributing to the education of patriotic traditions, the Vietnamese principle of “remembering those who came before us”, and the cultivation of revolutionary ideals among Youth Union members and young people.
The annual Candle-Lighting Ceremony is an activity of profound political, social, and humanitarian significance. It serves as an occasion to commemorate and express gratitude to the fallen heroes who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and for the protection of the country’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. At the same time, the ceremony provides an opportunity for the younger generation to reflect on the nation’s glorious revolutionary traditions and raise their awareness of their responsibilities in the cause of national development and defense.
In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, delegates and a large number of Youth Union members and young people respectfully offered incense and observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the immense contributions and sacrifices of the fallen heroes. Thousands of candles illuminated individual graves, creating a sacred space of remembrance and gratitude and expressing the Vietnamese tradition of “remembering the merits of those who made sacrifices for the nation”, as well as the profound gratitude of present generations to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and freedom.
Youth Union members and students of the University of Phan Thiet personally offered incense and lit candles at the graves of the fallen heroes with deep respect and gratitude. The activity not only provided an opportunity for each Youth Union member to express their appreciation and gratitude to previous generations, but also contributed to raising their sense of responsibility, inspiring a spirit of dedication, and promoting the role of young people in the development and advancement of their hometown and the country.

Through this meaningful activity, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Phan Thiet continued to affirm their role in educating Youth Union members and students about traditional values, revolutionary ideals, and patriotism. The ceremony was also one of the practical activities contributing to the promotion of humanitarian values, fostering a strong sense of responsibility, determination, and aspiration to contribute among the youth of the University of Phan Thiet to the community and society.
